Dr. Marcus D’Ayala, MD, Chief of Vascular Surgery and Medical Director of Vascular Laboratories at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a vascular specialist in Brooklyn, NY with over 29 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. D’Ayala has demonstrated expertise in the treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms, Carotid Artery Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and Hemodialysis access. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed his surgical training at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center and The Mount Sinai Hospital. in NY. He is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery and accepting new patients and telehealth appointments.
The Vascular Laboratory at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center Is located on the third floor of the “B” building. Vascular examinations are provided for both adult and pediatric patients. The Vascular Laboratory supports the hospital‘s mission statement to provide excellence in care through prevention, education and treatment in a safe environment. The Vascular Laboratory performs an average of 20 studies per day and provides service to referring physicians. Studies are performed by the technologist, except for those requiring intervention by the vascular surgeon who performs these studies in conjunction with the technologist. The Vascular service provides a report of findings and any recommendations for additional imaging services that may assist in the diagnosis of the patient. The scope of care in vascular laboratory includes a full gamut of vascular studies from visceral vascular studies, dialysis access studies, cerebral vascular studies and arterial / venous studies of the extremities.
All personnel in the vascular service are governed by the policy and procedure of Wyckoff Heights Medical Center as well as the standards of care established by the Intersocietal Commission Accreditation of Vascular Laboratory (ICAVL). The Medical Director of Vascular laboratory, Dr D’Ayala, is certified by the American Board of Surgery. All Vascular technologists are graduates of a New York State approved vascular imaging program and possess ARDMS certification in vascular imaging (RVT) with competence in vascular imaging.
