Community Relations:
The Department of Marketing and Public Affairs oversees that the hospital maintains open and strong communication with community residents, local press, local police, fire department, schools, local politicians, community boards, and other community associations. Dialogue is established through various mediums, one namely the President’s Community Advisory Council which meets four times per year during which community leaders meet with Wyckoff leadership to address community, Wyckoff and health issues in general. Marketing and Public Affairs coordinates Wyckoff community outreach activities including Wyckoff’s annual community health fair, speaker’s bureau activities, hospital tours, seminars, selected free screenings community events, etc.
Positive community relations are also established through publications produced by Marketing and Public Affairs including newsletters, brochures, annual report, community service plans, fact sheets, etc. In addition, Marketing and Public Affairs handles all inquiries from the media (TV, press, radio) and provides up-to-date information on Wyckoff issues, initiatives and programs to the community by submitting press releases for publication in the local press.
Marketing / Development:
Marketing and Public Affairs is responsible for organizing all aspects of marketing and promotion of Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and its satellites. The department conceptualizes and designs promotional ideas for print advertising, billboards, giveaway items, brochures, videos, newspaper editorial, PSAs, web site content and development, highway signage, etc. Marketing and Public Affairs oversees various fund-raising initiatives and activities, drafts and presents proposals in order to solicit corporate sponsorships and donations from vendors, foundations and philanthropists.
